Project description
The Longxiang Bridge and Approach Road Project in Foshan is a key component of the southern section of the western extension of Foshan Ring Road. It connects Gaoming District to the west and Xiqiao Town to the north, serving as a link in the ring expressway network connecting Chancheng, Nanhai, Gaoming, and Sanshui districts.
The project is built to first-class highway standards with urban road functions. The Longxiang Bridge is located on the boundary between Nanzhuang Town in Chancheng District and Xiqiao Town in Nanhai District, Foshan.
The main girder uses a composite steel and concrete structure. An 80-meter steel box girder is used at the midspan of the center span, a 57-meter steel box girder is used at the side span end near Pier 1, and prestressed concrete box girders are used for the remaining sections.
The project was constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group. TorcStark was responsible for the steel box girder lifting works for the main bridge.
